The gulupa or purple maracuja is an exotic round fruit of green, yellow or purple colour, depending on the degree of ripeness, and has a subtly acidic taste, although sweeter than the maracuja. It helps regulate high blood pressure levels, enhances detoxification and cleansing of the colon and the body, thus improving digestive functions, and is a natural sedative.
