RECIPES WITH FEIJOA

FEIJOA CAKE .

The feijoa increases the levels of red blood cells .

INGREDIENTS:

  • 300gr of feijoas
  • 120gr of wheat flour
  • 30gr of yeast
  • 3 eggs
  • 120gr of sweetener or sugar
  • 30ml of olive oil
  • Lemon juice

PREPARATION:

  • 1. Peel the 300gr of feijoas and cut them in half
  • 2. Add them to a pot with water over low heat and then add the juice of a lemon and sprinkle the ingredients with sugar to taste, cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • 3. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool down to room temperature.
  • 4. Turn on and preheat the oven to 220ºC for 10-12 minutes.
  • 5. Add sugar or sweetener to taste in a cup and add 30ml of oil, then mix until the composition is homogeneous.
  • 6. Add the eggs to the previous mixture and stir until the food combination is compact.
  • 7. Add 120gr of flour to the mixture and then the 30gr of yeast and stir.
  • 8. Pour all the dough into a mold and add the feijoas on its surface.
  • 9. Heat the dough in the preheated oven at 220ºC for 50 minutes and remove it.
  • 10. Remove the cake from the mold and let it cool to room temperature before enjoying it to enhance its flavor.
